TASK#8

WHAT SHOULD I DO   vs    WHAT I DID.

marzo 18, 2018

This weekend I had to take a decision between sleeping at a friend's house or sleeping in my house. I had a hard time taking that decision because although it seems silly, I did not really know what to do.

On the one hand I wanted to stay because my friend was going on a trip and he was going to be away for a week and other classmates also stayed to sleep. It was a kind of "pyjama party".

But on the other hand I did not want to stay because I knew that we were going to sleep very late and next morning I was going to be very tired to go home. Also, that week I had a very important History test and I did not want to waste a time to study.

Finally, after I have thought it too much, my friends convinced me to stay and that is what I did. I stayed to sleep and the next day I went home around 11 o'clock in the morning. I was a little bit tired but I started to study and then I could sleep a little nap

If I found myself in that difficult position, before telling Virginia anything, I would ask her the following question: What do you think about the Three Wise Men? Do you think they are as magical as people say?

I think, on the one hand, it would be good to tell her the truth because in this way she would "mature" in some way.
But the truth is that I would prefer not to say anything because it would take away the illusion of the night that Three Wise Men arrived. I think that the most beautiful thing of that day is the illusions of the children and the fact that three men are able to give them so much happiness in a single period of time, so I wouldn't tell her anything. In this way, she would continue having hope for many more years.

I personally think that nobody must tell the truth to a little boy or girl because how do you say to a child that the Three Wise Men don't exist? If you do, you will break their hearts for ever.
